Jonny Kellock…how do you honour such a legacy?

Well.. I think you start by gathering 150 of his community from around the world, in his favourite place, doing the things he loved.. add some sunshine, a dusting of fresh snow, with a hint of kegs.. and you’re on your way!

We want to highlight a member of Jonny’s community who has personally lead fundraising events over the past few months. Aunt Jacquie (@jacquiebrooks10 ) completed a half marathon which raised $5,400, and also another $600 through her CrossFit gym this month. Initiatives like this keep the community going and we just want to say a big thank you to Jacquie and all those who donated.

Huge shoutout to Alexandra Reid and José Cobo who ran the Miami Marathon and raised over $6,300 in honour of Jonny Boy.

From August 7th to 28th, 2021 Charlie Reese biked 4,447km from Toronto to Vancouver, raising $15,000 for the Jonny Kellock Foundation and $14,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society. The journey was in memory of all Canadian cancer victims, like his dear friend Jonny.

In March 2021, the Foundation hosted its first initiative, #29forjonnyboy . A virtual event that celebrated Jonny’s 29th birthday by getting outside and doing something that Jonny loved. Friends across the globe participated through skiing, running, hiking, swimming, lifting, walking, etc.. all in 29’s. What was truly built to be an opportunity for people to come together in Jonny’s name, transpired into an inaugural fundraising event that resulted in $54,000 (yeah, you read that right) raised! The support for Jonny was incredible and gave the Foundation a strong base to carry out our mission.
